Aulla

Aulla rises in Tuscany, in the Lunigiana, not far from the border with Liguria. The country placed in a strategic position at the confluence of the stream Aulella in Magra river, the point where the valley narrows considerably, enclosed between their hills. The city has become a crossroads between different routes of communication leading to the steps of Cisa and Cerreto. Aulla is surmounted by the hill Brunella and its fortress.
